Milwaukee Bucks: Hope And Glory
After being founded in 1968, the Milwaukee Bucks spent their first season struggling. They won only 27 games during that season. Their dismal record led to their winning a coin toss for the first draft pick of the new season. That coin toss would prove to be a defining moment. Their pick, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, would transform the franchise into an overnight sensation.
By 1971, the Bucks seemed unbeatable. They easily dispatched their opponents during the playoffs, advancing to the NBA Finals. In a stunning performance, the team defeated the Baltimore Bullets in a 4-game sweep, securing their first NBA Championship title. The Bucks continued to dominate their division for most of the mid 1970's.
The latter part of the 1970's were spent adding promising new players to the roster. While the franchise no longer commanded their division, they were poised for another streak beginning in 1980. From that year until 1986, the Bucks won consecutive division titles. Unfortunately, they failed to mount the necessary momentum to clinch a Conference title.
The 1990's were uninspiring as the team struggled to develop a winning strategy. The rotation of 4 different coaches made the task of defining a consistent playing style even more difficult. As a result, the Bucks posted 7 losing seasons causing fan loyalty to wane. In an effort to reinvigorate the team and the fans, management acquired a number of strong players in 1998 and 1999. By 2001, the franchise nearly beat the Philadelphia 76ers in a 7-game series for the Conference Finals.
While the past several years have been a struggle for the Bucks, their fans continue to have high hopes for the immediate future. Changes in management and the player roster may yet deliver the Bucks from their slump.

Tickets To Bradley Center
The Bradley Center is an indoor arena that seats 18,700 people for NBA games. The stadium has been home to the Milwaukee Bucks since opening in 1988. Because the Bradley Center lacks many of the features offered by newer NBA facilities, there has been speculation that the team will relocate in the near future. If you'd like to see the Bucks play live in their current home, you can reserve tickets online for as low as $9.
